Setting: hotel lobby
Scenario: We were leaving only 45 minutes early for the Chashley wedding, and I was worried about making it on time. Spoiler alert- we were the first ones there.
Me: *checking the contents of my evening bag* Oh, I don’t have tissues!
The Fiancé: You aren’t going to cry at the wedding. You don’t need them.
I actually wanted them for blotting sweat in the almost 100 degree heat.
Setting: walking back to our hotel from Bourbon St., close to midnight
Scenario: after the joyous Second Line through the French Quarter, we had a drink at the after party bar with our friends and then headed back to the hotel. I didn’t realize 1. how much my feet were aching and 2. how far from the hotel we were at that point.
Me: If I take off my shoes here, the worst disease I’ll get is hepatitis right?
The Fiancé: Maybe. We’ll make sure at our wedding you have comfortable shoes to change into.
Me: *stops on the street, points to feet* THIS is why people have flip flops in baskets at weddings! Flip flops in a mothereffing basket!
