I revised our wedding budget spreadsheet this week. It’s more detailed than ever before!
One of the categories is “Gifts” for the attendents, readers and our parents. That last one stumped me. We are having a hard enough time coming up with unique gifts for our parents on other holidays; what will we get them for the wedding?
Then I remembered a story I read in a magazine or saw on an episode of A Wedding Story on TLC. The couple wrapped a baby rattle in a box, and when their parents opened it up at the rehearsal dinner the night before the wedding SURPRISE! We’re going to have a baby! Isn’t this great?
Baby rattles are cheap. Hmm . . .
So I tell the Fiancé this great idea last night. And then he died. But not before sputtering a lot of things out of his mouth all at once:
No, we’re not doing that.
No, that’s not a good idea.
No, I do not even think this is funny!
What?!
You don’t even want to have children.
Ugh.
Parents? How about a nice Blurb book of our engagement photos instead?
