Setting: the Cathedral (where we were married and I volunteer)
Scenario: exiting an early morning meeting with the Monsignor and a few staff members
Staff member: I hope you enjoy your week next week with Josh traveling! I hope you don’t get too lonely! *Josh has two oral arguments in New Orleans next week*
Me: Oh I won’t! That big bed is so nice to sleep in all alone.
Msgr.: JILLIAN!
Me: But it is! I’ve never slept in a bed that big all by myself. We bought a queen! I still love Josh. I’ll miss him.
Msgr.: That’s good to hear.
The best part of this is Msgr.’s Maryland accent means Jillian sounds like “Jill-yun”. It makes the scolding sound more severe.
