I’ve Been Looking In My Make-up Bag

I remember taking professional pictures for my first dance rehearsal when I was in first grade. There were instructions to the mothers to put make-up on us. This was very early 90s Western Pennsylvania, not an episode of Toddlers & Tiaras. I remember my mother talking to another mother. They both said about the same thing, “I don’t wear make-up! What am I suppose to put on her?” The answer to that was clear gloss and some blush.

Almost twenty years later, I have graduated from clear gloss and blush. I took this picture as I was getting ready for the Yale Law School Prom. I labeled everything in Flickr, but since you guys never click over, here it is listed:

And this was all for getting ready for the dance. There are a few everyday lipglosses and shadows that did not make an appearance.

McKatie has also started to experiment with make-up recently, and honestly she is doing much better than I am. But to educate myself, I’m using tutorials on YouTube. This is the one I used to apply the liquid eyeliner:
